The Department of Justice must hand over the legal memos it provided to the Bush administration to justify its program of electronic monitoring of terrorism suspects without a warrant, a federal judge in Washington, D.C., has ruled. Which I think is great because I'm sure they are violating the constitution.
U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy partially granted the Electronic Privacy Information Center's motion for in camera review, ordering the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel to produce 10 of 30 requested memoranda relating to the government's "terrorism surveillance program."
I am very interested to see what happens here. Do you remember when the 'patriot act' came about? Clearly an invasion of people's privacy.
